Race for the Cure

I am now a one year survivor!! We did the Race for the Cure last Saturday which was amazing. They had 16,000 pre-registered so you can imagine the crowd. LOVE IT!!! You get a pink shirt if you are a survivor and then they took a group photo after the survivor parade. It was so great to see women and men of all ages standing up as survivors. When you walk (or run if you can make it through the mass of people) you can fill out a paper to pin on your back and list who you are walking for. I really fight for that cure so that my sisters and sweet little girls don't have to battle this ugly disease. So here's my little reminder....do your self-exam when you get in the shower next and if you are over 40, get in and get a mammo. Trust me, you want to catch it early!

This is so heart touching! Those pink shirts look awesome all together! I know I haven't known you long, but one does not need to know you long to know you are awesome! I am so glad that you are well!

What can I say... you still make cancer look good after being a survivor for 1 year! Wow, what an accomplishment. It is definitely one I am so glad you were able to beat. I wish I could have come this year... next year for sure. Count me in! I sure love ya and glad you are my sister.

Wow, I didn't think this post would make me so emotional. As I have told you time and time again I was impressed/amazed by you from the moment I went to your first group meeting. Now I am way beyond that... congrats on being a survivor, you look terrific!
